Hi from Baltimore...after 35 years on the eastern shore I finally retired and moved “west”...I was amazed to find rocks in my yard, but not so pleased to find clay in the garden. Welcome to the forum...Rocket

Thanks every one. looks like most of you are in very good rock hounding areas lol. I have lived in both South Dakota and California while in the Air Force. SOuth Dakota was my favorite and is what really got me into the hobby California was ok found many fossils and agates on the beach. came to Delaware and well lets say my rock hounding days were put on hold until recently

I lived in California then moved to South Dakota...because my dad was in the Air Force. So, I'm guessing you were at Ellsworth...and possibly Vandenberg... Grew up...or I should say aged...here in SD and it will always be home.

you are correct I was stationed at Ellsworth AFB in SD. I was actually stationed at Port Hueneme Naval station as the Air Force and Navy combined Tech schools and I was an instructer. Now Vandenberg is were I had to go for my basic intructer course and that's were I found one of the beaches there had a lot of agates
