I found a small but decent slab of Petoskey stone hiding on my workbench last night. This one was a bit harder on the MOHS scale then normal. Really nice crisp details in the pattern Chuck

THAT is a gorgeous stone!!!! The wrap is so perfect because it doesn't cover any of that awesome cab.

That is a nice one. Did you ever take home any of the really hard, really white ones? It’s usually not good quality, but I have a slab or two that I think I could get a cab out of.

Sometimes I find some fossilized coral when I'm hounding at Railroad Buttes here in SD...but nothing as amazing as that Petoskey stone. I love the geometric patterns found in this material.

Really well done! It is a perfect specimen too. And well polished which I understand is difficult in itself.
