When I finish the polish stage I let the rocks soak overnight to loosen up any stuck polish then brush them and then put in a soapy water tumble for 2-4 hrs. We check them after then let them dry before bagging them, sometime polish spots show back up on the rocks 2-3 days later. Am I missing a step or doing something wrong ?

Ok so it turned out it was the borax combined with our hard calcium water, just used Ivory soap and no more white spots showing up.

Thanks for sharing your findings. It's good to know the impact that different types of water has on them.
