Dear Friends .... This SC is looking to upgrade to a Lapidary Cabochon Grinder Polisher Arbor. Preferably a 6 wheel capacity. Have been considering a 6" SS unit that has provisions to add a complete water drip system. Something like a basic unit without the wheels and a motor.
Was hoping somebody would have a listing of the manufacturers or sellers of a unit of this type that I might contact. If we have sellers or dealers here on Our Forum that can help feel free to post or PM if you desire. Any an ALL assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! Ivan - USAF 62-66

Lortone sells a 6”, 6 Wheel, part number 033-090, 26” W x 17” L x 8” H, $515.00 All stainless. The more expensive version comes with water system part number 033-095, $655.00. This is a good unit. But the water reservoir is too small unless you want to refill every 30 seconds. the reservoir can be fixed with a 5 gal bucket or water line.

So far the only two manufacturers has been Lortone and a company called Hans Super Abrasive Grinder. Has anybody on the Forum purchased the Hansuperabrasive grinder and has any experience with them or may there be other manufactures? Thanks for the update!

Best value is a used machine that can be picked up. Next choice would be a two wheel lapidary arbor. A person can work in stages and swap wheels on the arbor.

Thanks ever so much for the contact. After shopping/searching about I had already purchased a REENTEL International Arbor. 6" 6 Wheel assembly. They come complete with spacers, shaft nuts, wheel flanges, and installed pulley with drive belt and a motor mounting base. I will have to come up with a drip or spray system for the wheels and provide a motor but they are perfect to build up your own customized arbor assembly.
Very well made. It will last longer than this SC. Fast turn around with the order. They manufacture and have two types on hand. The mild steel unit - powdered coated and the all stainless steel unit. Affordable ... IV USAF 62-66
