I can say if I lived in your area I'd be addicted to finding/collecting those things. That blue one is a lot of motivation to go find another.

I have a few now, not as vast as your coprolite stash but not bad!
I have found a few blue quartzite chunks, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities for one to have captured some jasper in it.
Greenish and purple are the next most uncommon matrix types I've seen.

These were only done with 36 grit so far, you can see the before roughness of the blue one, not sure if I had any other before shots. They don't shine obviously, but nice and smooth, photos were wet. Thanks!
