Hello from Denmark I’m new to this fine hobby of rock tumbling, and could really use some tips on good online shops, in Europe. As far as i can tell, there’s only one online shop i Denmark, and they don’t sell crazy lace agates.. -just tried buying some on an american site, but shipping was five times the price of my order.. I need some of those exclusive foreign rocks! I’ve almost de-rocked every beach in the Kingsom of Denmark! -i’ve even started smashing up bottles, for glass tumbling, just to feed my tumbling addiction... Aaaanyways - any tips will be greatly appreciated! -much love, Bjarl

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
I know we have some European members, so hopefully they'll be able to help you out. The one I can think of off the top of my head is polaszko in Poland.
Good luck!

If you can manage a trip to Idar-Oberstein in Germany, it's been the quartz mineral Mecca of the world for more than 200 years. There are dealers there for nearly every imaginable kind of stone, both rough and cut.
If you can't go in person, try to contact the Chamber of Commerce there - can't recall the exact name. When I visited they gave me a booklet titled "Einskaufsfuhrer" subtitled "Buyer's Guide." It listed dealers for diamonds, colored gemstones, objet's-d'art , carvings, jewelry, tools, machinery and accessories. A number of those dealers have websites and do business by mail.

I know very little about shipping costs outside of the U.S. I bought a piece of Mookaite from an Australian ebay seller and the shipping was either close to or greater than the rock. Whenever possible, I try to buy multiple items from the same seller to spread out the shipping cost. I have a couple suggestions.
1. Buy from one or more people on this board and have one package shipped. 2. Use the mule approach. Buy from multiple U.S. sellers, have it shipped to someone here, repackage and reship.

FYI, even buying from an RTH member, shipping can be expensive. Two years ago, I sold a MFRB to the UK, and shipping was $69 at that time, plus I was limited to shipping 20 lbs. On top of that, when the package arrived, UK customs demanded more money from the buyer. I don’t know how this compares to EU shipments, but just a heads-up.
Other than that, welcome to the forum from California.

One thing long overdue on this board is a comprehensive list of European dealers, by country, pinned in Rock Tumbling and/or Vendor Reviews.
Quite a few have been posted over the years but they’re so scattered all over the joint it’s a fool’s errand to round ‘em up . . . all the more reason to start a respectable list now.
I know Andrew in Scotland has posted many a link, including a couple in Holland tonight . . .

I have no idea who sells rocks in the EU or UK. Maybe check instagram?

I have to agree with Tela that IG is a great resource. The trick there is to hook up with people you know and trust, and DON'T follow anyone who isn't also being followed by one or more of your friends. When I started there I was getting invites from literally 10 or more a day, mostly indonesian dealers. I only followed 2 of them, mainly because Jeff Hill also follows them, and I believe Christopher Anthony as well.

I'm afraid that I'm a little bit too late. Rockjunquie give you a lot of good informations and even I don't recognize these pages. Also I don't know almost any good shop with rough rocks - I use tumbler only for rocks that I found on my trips like flints, cherts, some broken agate thunder eggs etc. Best solution that I have is watch on internet shops that's popular in your country - for example in Poland most popular is OLX and Allegro.
