Here are some fun things I've made with goodies that Oregon (Rick) sent me for winning the Hampton Butte Tumbler Fodder Challenge. He was so nice, I even got some slabs to work with. Enjoy: I left the top rough on the far right because I liked that edge. I left the top rough on the 4th stone here because it had nice druzy on edge. There are some fractures on the first 3 in this row, but I'm thinking of using Opticon to seal them at a later date.

I love that natural edge cab. I really like that look. You did a nice job with your winnings.

Thanks rockjunquie. I’m starting to really like leaving the edges rough when the slab dictates that in design. I was able to include the druzy part. I left the matrix on both of the plume agates as well. It looked cool in contrast to all that white.

I really like the idea of leaving a strategic part of the stone in the rough. You've inspired me to try some things.

I'll also chime in about the natural edge - great choice! Way to go! Those look absolutely amazing!

Hey thanks guys. I like the positive feedback on this. I will keep doing because sometimes you have an edge that just naturally formed that way, but it could still be a beautiful cab if given just a little extra love. ❤️ I will update this post as I make new things with the prize goodies. But, for now I need to finish my Xmas cards, and find time to work with some awesome slabs I got from Randy (rwa3006) 😁

Nice cabs. I’ve done a natural edge a handful of times, and have o few slablets in the queue where I’m considering it. All of yours look great.
