I don't have any decent pearls, but here's a mock-up with what would be an 8 mm freshwater pearl. I like it. I think that the post would need to be anchored in the cab as opposed to a post on a bezel-setting backplate.

I like that! Again, I was picturing something WAY different. I was picturing a pearl that was the size of the whole hole. LOL

If you made it like your mockup, I think it would look exquisite!
