Well, I finally got my Rock Rascal going this weekend, and look what I was able to produce [glow=red,2,300]in only a few[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]seconds[/glow] Turquoise Leopardskin Jasper Faceted Quartz (2 outside stones are rutilated) Fossilized Coral Faceted Lapis [glow=red,2,300]YEAH, RIGHT[/glow].... OK, you've probably figured out by now that I'm just pulling your leg(s). I picked these up on my bi-weekly visit to Mama's Minerals. I'm not talented enough (yet!) to cut stones, but I'm working on it. I plan to wire wrap these. They were so pretty I thought I'd share them with you. ;D But here are a couple of stones that sands cut a while back from some rough that I sent him...he is talented enough to produce these lovely gems - ENJOY! Susan

Thanks Alice!
Susan, can you get cabs like that on the web site? Under what would they be? I looked quickly couldn't see where they would be

Tweet- I haven't checked Mama's website in any great detail, as they are about 1 mile from my house, but I don't think they post pix of cabs online. I've been going over there every other weekend (when I get paid) and rummaging through trays and trays of cabachons, looking for stuff to wire wrap. The cabs I picked up today ranged in price from $5 - $30. The turquoise is sold by the gram - $1.50 a gram. The rutilated quartz faceted pieces were on sale @ 30% off, or I wouldn't have been able to afford them. I picked up some cool fossilized shark's teeth today, too. Once I get proficient in cab cutting, I'll be buying slabs instead of cabs, I guess. If you're looking for cabs, Banjocreek has some on his site, John Schmitt has the most beautiful cabs up on eBay under the seller name of bearcreeklapidarycutter (wish I could afford to bid for his Black Lightning Ridge Fire Opal) and you can get some of sands' wonderful freeforms on Kim's Delta Rock Gallery site (love the rectangular Stefoinoite cab...). PEACE - Susan

PPS: I think John has been having some personal probs that require his attention as of late, and you are right, Stefan. He is VERY generous (as is everyone I have met on this Board)!
