Inside the tumbler? Well I smoked a Thumbler 3 Lb lid (Paper thin) and so made an Acrylic one as a temp fix- Well I loaded it up with 120/220 and started it up this was just so cool (until the lid became to scratched and the slurry to grey) so here is the "action" that takes place! Oh I left this big so you could get a good look sorry to you Dial uppers

That's pretty neat isn't it. Do the thumler lids just screw on then and you have to replace the center of the lid? I've never really seen a small thumlers. This reminds me of the National Geographic tumbler that my grandson had, it was all clear plastic and neat to watch for the very very short time before it was totally scratched up. Maybe some bullet proof glass would work Stefan, might not scratch as easy. *smile* Cool pic anyway, that is neat.

Thanks Stefan , that is a cool picture of the tumbler in action. Are you sure it is not overloaded a tiny bit ? It just looks so full!!

I once took a glass jar and went through to the 500 grit stage and was fascinated with watching them tumble.

Thumbler lids are just a plastic disc that is held in place by an o-ring- The white stuff around this homemade version is Teflon Tape (no Stefan can not cut a perfect circle!) The barrel is not overloaded (but it sure looks this way in the pic!) Nope that barrel is only 5/8 full- I thought about using Lexan but at the price of it there was no way!
