I received a bunch of supplies to start wire wrapping as a gift from work. I gave it a go this morning. So not easy! haha. I have a lot of practicing to do. We wont let anyone see how awful the back of this guy is.

I'm really amazed at some of the skills shown by people who wrap on this forum. It's something I really don't want to tackle, but am very willing to look at all the work others do! LOL - Great start!

Very nice first wrap! Is that a cab or a tumble? Tumbles are soooo hard for me to wrap.

That looks good for your first wrap. We all have to start somewhere. Keep at it, you'll get the hang of it and be wrapping high end cabs before you know it. Tumbles are hard for me too so I don't wrap many of them. Cabs are definitely easier as is using square and 1/2 round wire. Keep wrapping

I think it is beautiful, Sue! The color of the wire which you used also compliments that stone very well! I also wrap some of my tumbles, and so I realize how hard it must have been for you to bind this stone with wire.
