Hello friends. I found this rock this summer, Lake Superior, Keweenaw Peninsula. I've already polished it and it turned out great, I just don't quite know what it is. The color is a pretty uniform red in normal light, but a lot of the color disappears when light is shone through it. The texture before polishing reminded me of beach glass, which is my guess at what it could be. The only thing that confuses me is the translucent behavior. Let me know what you think. res.cloudinary.com/jhoffj3/image/upload/v1607395072/IMG_6492_thnifm.heicres.cloudinary.com/jhoffj3/image/upload/v1607395071/IMG_6493_dgks8m.heicAlso, I really don't like the way I have to upload images. Is there an easier way? I don't want to make you guys click links to view the photos, I just want them in the thread.

If you have your Cloudinary account set up according to the tutorial, all you need to do is click the Upload File button at the top right of your screen, navigate to your picture and it will automatically upload. If you don't resize your photos beforehand, make sure that the size is indicated inside Cloudinary settings (usually 600x800).

I think the image.heic is a Apple only image format. check your phone and use the image.jpg file.
