Hi I am offering up a second SFRB of slabs for $25 (25 being the 25th number reached on the counting to 25. Thou shalt not count to 20, unless thou proceedest on to 25. 15 is right out). It is open to anyone, but designed with the newbie in mind -- a fair deal on a variety of materials, since we can't make it to shows. Here is the selection, shown both dry and wet. If you want to see it in higher res, click through to Flickr, and it is available at 4000x2000. Lapidary slabs by Stephan T., on Flickr And how for the decoder: Row 1: * Arizona rainbow wood. This slab has some pits. It is also uneven (my friend's saw does not advance. the rock needs to be repositioned for each cut). At 0.5-1.5cm thich, there is plenty of material to compensate. * Unknown jasp agate with brown, white, clear and pinktones * Crazy lace agate * Bird's eye rhyolite -- cut thick. They eyes on the back are smaller Row 2: * Stone Canyon jasper * Bacon agate heel cut -- if I can get more material cut in the next few days, I'll replace it with a regular slab * Unknown breccia * Rhodonite with bustamite and calcite * Agate with orbs and druzes. Possibly Big Bend from TX * Nephrite (Big Sur) Row 3: * Tigers eye -- cut thick * Unknown Coast Range brecciated agate Row 4: * Kambaba jasper * San Francisco jasper (muted but swirly) * Palm root? ? * Probable Sheep Canyon agate -- you'll need to work around some vugs * Nephrite jade -- origin unknown * Zebra stone -- marked up with Sharpie on the back * Plain black obsidian I'll throw in a couple of surprise goodies to make sure the box is as full as it gets (it's a crime to waste space in a FRB). PM me if interested.

Was that a little Monty Python reference?

The slab on the top row, second one from the left...could that be Cady Mountain Moss Agate? I've got a slab I've been watching on eBay that looks identical to the pattern and colors...or at least close enough for me to wonder if that could be what this is...
Caveat...I'm rarely right with these ID guesses...

I got my package today from Stephan. What a fabulous deal he created, with a great selection and variety of stones to work with, along with bonus goodies. I would definitely recommend buying from him. I’m a happy customer.

This is particularly true since I'm caught in the middle of a bunch of family drama, and no one will be happy, no matter what I do. It's just a question of who is most pissed. So, I'll stay out of it and piss everyone off equally. With money being what it is, at least I can share in some of what I have already. Thanks for expressing your appreciation. It was a much-needed note of of positivity.

Thank you for sharing ❤️ Omg, the family drama is at its worst here too. I’ve been the sounding board for several members of my family. COVID has intensified things with everyone stressed and anxious already, and the separation factor is pushing everyone over the edge. I was able to spend 4 hours in my studio playing with rocks and making something for the December challenge. I couldn’t have been any happier and I came out of there feeling so peaceful. Now, I just have to decide which cab to enter.
