here is a cute little piece of Mook (at least i'm pretty sure it is...) that i got from BearCreek in one of his eBay auctions, this is not the shape he suggested but lends itself to one of these prefab cinch mountings: turned out to be kind of a happy, optomistic little piece of stone! KD

Nice Job KD! Where would I look to start doing something like that or wire wrapping? I am just about done with polishing my Rose Quartz and have a few in there that would be perfect. I will post a picture when done and get everyones opinion.
Thanks, Jody

That is beautiful. I have never seen a stone like that, it is like the KS Tornado that was shown earlier. Tami

KD, in our shop, we would expect....with chain,28$. That would be a relatively easy sale. If it had a soldered bezel, with twisted wire and a simple plate, with chain, I could get about 38-42$. It is very difficult with the imported cabochons to get a reasonable price for hand made work by people who do so much better. The customers who appreciate the difference are far and few between. That cinch tite bezel also works loose with wearing and the cab falls out. I used to carry them, and had too many returns. It is a sad reality, for such good work. To sell that cab and get the price needed, you would need quite a few for comparison. That is what we found in our shop. You have to have a large selection so the customer can get just the right one.

thanks for the info, Doc, i've been "beta testing" a few of these cinch mount pendants on myself for just that reason. i wonder if a tiny bit of epoxy would extend the wearability lifetime of the piece?
