Very cool. Can you see any crystals inside the hole/vug? It makes me think of my Dad's WW2 Canadian Airforce wings. Dad flew Mosquitos. Plane made of wood, but super fast for the time. He called the wings on his pocket "the flying butt-hole" (well, something like that), because it was wings around a circle. Military language. hehe

There isn’t really an actual hole but right in the middle where the hole would/should be it looks crystaly? Tiny extra shiny bits like grains of sugar

looks like you found what is left of a geode. nice! quartz capped with fine white agate surrounded by rhyolite or basalt

How hard is the tan part? I would leave as is. there may not be anything special inside.

Maw Nature has done that for you. it will only get worse from here. It is a nice piece as is.
