...isn't really blue! After busting it up, it's two-tone being more of a seagreen and a dark grey/black/charcoal color. kinda the blue-green color of that picture jasper that banjo has... you can't really tell by the pics. Unfortunately the pics look way better than the rock really does in person.. Btw, anyone know what this stuff is? jasper??.. flint?? Jimmy

I can only get the pics to download about half way for some reason, but it looks like some beautiful rock, none the less. It does seem to cleave like flint, and flint comes in such a variety of colors... could we go with the all inclusive handle of "Chert"? Remind us again, what's the story on this rock (location, ect)

That seems to have a very glassy look to it, could it be some kind of obsidian?

By the way it fractured, I would think it was flint or chalcedony.
Cool nonetheless. Hope it polishes well.
By the way, the rock to the right of it almost looks like some pet wood...is that the case?

Hey Gaetz, no it is not petwood , but a rock called "Schist". It tricks people in believing they have found petwood. Sorry !!

Flint/ Chert- I would say it grades more to chert just because of the chuncky-er break up- Man that is some cooling looking stuff- should take a good shine!
