Hi there,
I'm a geologist by training and have a habit of picking up interesting rocks. Until now they stay dull and weather worn, but with a kiddo that always picks up neat rocks, I will be getting a small tumbler to make the collected rocks nice and shiny. I am here to learn techniques and tricks for proper use of tumbling tools, how to get best results and to see the very very cool rocks that are to be found.

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
I think it would be strange for you to be a geologist and not be picking up interesting rocks.
The Tumbling Board is here and has a million threads to browse through to start off. There's lots of good folks on the board who tumble (I'm not one of them) who will be able to help you out if you have questions.
