I don't remember if I found these at Railroad Buttes or down on the Cheyenne River south of Fairburn. The first one really soaks up water fast...or dries fast. There was no indication of the darker colored splotches on the exterior. The second one "I think" is coral. But of someone can ID it one way or another, I'd appreciate it. The third one, I thought was a jasper when I first hounded it, but it doesn't feel or look like any of the other jasper I've run across out here...but does feel like other jasper had felt (i.e. picture jasper). And of course I didn't take any pics of the rocks when they were whole...I didn't expect to find anything interesting on the inside. LOL Any help is greatly appreciated.

the # 3 the red looks like rhyolite, top white like quartz, the #1 dendritic is it porous or solid, #2 looks more like wood to me but maybe healed fractures and brecciated

I know it's not easy going off pics. I think the dendritic seems to be the same porosity as the lighter colored part. I would not have guessed wood on that 3rd one...
