Hi all. Just getting into rock hounding and am actually a couple days in on my first tumble. Me and my wife have been getting into healing gems and crystals a little bit and after seeing a few stores and spending a bunch on rocks I figured we should go out and see what we can find and tumble some for ourselves. We live a couple blocks from White Rock beach here in BC Canada so we went out last Sunday for an hour and came back with an overfull bag and full pockets. Can't wait to get more into this hobby. Eventually I'd like to start cutting and possibly shaping them too.

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! Now that you've caught the bug for hounding, you'll want to invest in a) two sturdy backpacks for you and your wife or b) a little red wagon!

Thanks for the welcomes! Me and my wife are really excited about this new hobby. We went out for a rock walk on the beach on New Years Eve and found another small bag full. Also just had a book delivered to our door this morning showing a bunch of spots to look around BC. Great for planning this years camping trips.
We are 5 days in on our first tumble but couldn't wait so we opened the tumbler and had a peak. Some nice looking pieces in there. Another day or two and I will switch to stage 2.
Also itchin to buy a wet tile saw to cut some of these open.
