Recently cut off these polished ends of 3 pieces of large petrified wood. They are all Big Bend area collected near Terlingua/Lajitas/Study Butte. They range in size from 6"x4" to 8"x6". IMG_2459 by Findrocks, on Flickr Natural hole in rock on this one, ancient bore hole?; IMG_2456 by Findrocks, on Flickr The white streaks are Quartz(I think). They did not undercut so they must not be Calcite. IMG_2453 by Findrocks, on Flickr Now the question, what is a good price range when I put them out on the table, $25 to $35?, lower?, higher?. Pricing the bigger pieces seems to be more difficult. Thanks Henry

Henry, these are gorgeous! Can't help with the price point, but that middle one with the natural bore hole I would expect to definitely be more than the other two. I think that one's really super special!

Those are beautiful! I'm thinking your thought on price is a little low. woodman has large pieces, I wonder if he'd have some idea of value?

MAybe a bit low, but I would start them out higher. you can always drop the price. Main problem is htat they are not whole rounds. They seem to be what people want. i would brouse ebay and etsy and get a better idea what material is going for. It would be best if you could get them iD'ed before listing.

The beer cap is a nice touch. It shows the thickness of the slices. Celebrating the patron saint of brewing (Saint Arnulf of Metz). I have no idea about price, but enjoyed eyeballing the photos.

I have a couple pieces that are complete rounds that I will be cutting, soon I hope. They are a bit heavier than I can life and set "carefully" into the vice on the 24". The one should make a several 1/2" slices.
