Well I just could not turn off the grinder today so here is some polished up ones bottom row is boulder opal; then opalized pet wood (the browns polish nice the black just won't hold a shine); the nest row- lace agate (see the bear rock again?) then a chunk of dino poop, fossilized coral, and botswanna agate: top row a chunk of flint (ir chert) and Leopard skin jasper (a bear to polish!)

Nice job!! That boulder opal is pretty with the blue in it. Where do you find that stuff?

it's a little on the soft side, Stefan, but it will take a polish: KD

You're having too much fun lately Stef. Keep it up. I do love that lace. Probably 'cause I have 10 lbs. of my own downstairs waiting to play with! Joe

Kd I just can't force it- This piece has gone through 3 times now and I've given up on it- I think I need like an 1800 grind on it- the Boulder Opal was bought 15 years ago at a rock shop in VA. I've had it for so long that I forgot about it- I was moving some boxes of rock around and it turnes up- Well it went to the saw pile right away- It is so soft that I'm really afraid to do anything much with it so I just kinda Buzzed it across the wheels and lightly buffed it on the polish belt- My wife was pretty pleased with em- and started to pick out beads for a necklace!

LOL i've been real good thanks! Nah, been really busy with the kids and our electric bill is thru the roof so I have to cut back on computer time, lights, AC... But been collecting rocks from all over, spent the weekend in Cape May. I'm over the red vodka bottle, I met up with a new bottle from Mexico this weekend and things are a bit hazy, lets just say we woke up in bed together, I "broke" up with him and I havent seen him since...
