Very interesting. I wonder if coprolites will be found within the nest upon further study. Most birds of today do not poo in their nests. I have to wonder what the cause of death was and if it was quickly buried by volcanic ash or something to preserve the relatively undisturbed state of the nest.

And the adult had gastroliths (stomach stones), which they assume were for grinding food like a chicken. I propose instead that this was a dinosaur rockhound. ;-)
