I thought this slice is kinda neat. It is dry, rough cut and not polished. The green is oxidation of nickel. The white is calcite. The grey is the host rock. The brassy colour at one end is nickeline and the vein turns into silver colour (likely Rammelsbergite) on the other end. I am not sure what can be done with this slice, other than polish it as-is. Of course, open to suggestions.

Wow. That's a dilemma. I'm not sure the size of the slab, but if it's big enough, I'd consider making a cab from that top right corner...that's a gorgeous spot right there!

Kinda important for perspective. The slice is about 5 inches long. Nickeline polishes well, so I might try a cab just for fun.

I zoomed in on the pic last night and that spot didn't look fractured, so I was thinking it might be a possibility...

That's a neat looking piece. Will the green oxidation go away if you polish it?

That's a neat looking piece. Will the green oxidation go away if you polish it? Yep. And if I leave the rock outside, it will take years for it to return.
