Apatites, blue quartz & other colourful stuff

Here is my haul from this past weekends rock expedition. We went to an old mine near home where they were digging for apatites (I was told they use this stuff for prosthetics?) I, at least, half filled a huge 5 gallon paint bucket. Funny story: I was in one spot digging & scratching and had accumulated a good 20 pounds at least of stuff in a garbage bag. I then moved on to another spot in the shade but left the bag there to collect later, and started collecting in another bag.

Someone from the club came by on a whim to chat and volunteered to bring my stuff back to the car. Well he thought he was bringing back my little bag with about 2 pounds of stuff in there, but when I pointed him in the direction of the other bag, his face just dropped. I'm really glad he brought it back as I NEVER would have made it back with all that stuff. My pack was full & this is my story.

I've been told that these will shape up nicely and although softer they should take a shine - the crystals are already shiny so they should shine up right
