Looks good, Jason! Too bad about the broken one. But it looks like you did great making the use of the material you had. That stuff just looks like it wants to fracture.

I'm definitely concerned on the next slab of this material. It looks more fracture prone than this one. However, oddly the one that broke didn't break where I thought it was going to do so. I thought it would have been in the lower purple section.

Three nice ones, and a sacrifice to the Gods. Nice work on what looks like very persnickety material.
Nice thing about beveling edges, is that sometimes it’s easier off the dop. Just make sure you have a good grip. These don’t look like they’d appreciate being flung.

... beveled edges don’t chip as easily.
Off the dop is much easier for me. Always. ( I avoid cabbing tiny stones. )

I found for me, with the slant cabber at least, it's easier while still on dop. I just remove my splash guard and then there's room to rotate the cab on the edge of the grinding/polishing disk. I just can't do it with the water dripping as it makes a bit of a mess.

You did the material justice Jason. Those look great! I routinely break one getting it off of the dop stick, so just one sacrificed to the gods is not too bad!

I really do have all the confidence needed now to tackle the other slabs I have of this material...and a lot of other softer material I have on hand. Thank you so much! I've had a couple "sacrifices" to the gods this week...it must've been a holiday week requiring a few more offerings than usual! LOL Really nice job on those, Jason!
You did those cabs justice. Thanks Robin! I'm going to start calling myself "Judge Judy" of the cabbing world dispensing all this justice! LOL (Not enough coffee...best I could think of this morning! LOL)
