I had to replace my motor due to a fan spring coming loose. The fans got out of balance and the bearing on one side eventually burned up. It was a gradual shift in the fan weights and since I was new I did not realize the vibration was wrong. I started getting clumping on one side of the barrel and just looked at is a a newbie learning problem. Then the motor started to make noise and I found the problem. The motor lasted another few months before it finally burned out. burned up motor new motor I now have my fans marked so I check the alignment every time before I plug in the tumbler. I also made an enclosed filtered housing with an exhaust fan to keep the air around the tumbler motor moving and free of any shop dust.

I think I have the same issue. How the heck do you remove the motor and the fans? The fans appear to be riveted to the metal post. The motor itself has 4 bolts that are unreachable with the fans attached.

I’ll try on mine tonight. I think it’s just pull while twisting. In other words. Friction fit.

Grab one in each hand and gently rotate in opposite directions while pulling them away from the motor.

Thank you for the advice. I thought that might be the way they are attached. I’ll give it a try in the morning.
