You did splurge! Can’t wait to see the results. Those three are all excellent choices, Mike. Easy touch on the larimar, it wants to crumble and fall apart...or maybe that’s just me 😉

Mike, The larimar will polish up beautifully. The issue is with the edges chipping off. I have had some success by backing the pre-forms with a thin layer of JB Weld. Then simply remove the layer of JB weld when the cab is finished. As for the pietersite....well you just can't go wrong with that! Have fun! This is a great tip! Thanks!
I have a few slabs of Larimar that I bought years ago and have always been gun shy about cutting them.

Looks promising, Mike. You'll need all your skilz for that Larimar. It's a bear to cab. The pietersite looks nice. Should cab up nicely. Palmroot is always nice. I probably should have done my research with the Larimar. I'm not very good with softer material and may want to pass it along to someone- I just liked the blue! The other slabs should produce some nice cabs, hopefully...
I hope you give that Larimar a try! It's such a beautiful material and I'd like to see what you could do with it. Those other slabs look great, too.

Nice looking material, miket ! Looking forward to seeing the creations you make out of these. I thought so, too. Although I'm not sure I needed more slabs at the moment...but I think these jumped the line!
