Just opened up the big tumbler for a change of grits so I thought I'd send in a few more pics ( I love using cameras!) These are photographed wet after one month in the coarse grind (60/90). These are all pretty big stones. Red ones are Sierra Primrose Jasper. Others are a combination of Cosmos Jasper and Hornitos Brecciated Jasper.

Cher: The white piece in the top pic is another piece of Sierra primrose but its from the center of a nodule. These nodules are really weird stuff. Often have the nice orbs or flowers toward the outside of the nodule and strange white or green brecciated stuff toward the center. Very rare stuff. Nodules usually only an inch or so in diameter. Sometimes as big as a few pounds but not often! Only find a few each year as they weather out of a couple of hills. Sometimes I wish I had a big ole backhoe to really dig around but that would get me in conflict with my better half who I'm sure would frown on me diggin the place up *L*

I've never seen anything like that second pic before, WOW! Anxiously anticipating the next stages.

They already look polished. Doing a fine job on those, keep us up to date.

LOL maybe if we all give you permission to get a backhoe and dig she'll agree? ........ Ummm? No, probably not *smile* but it sure sounds like a dang good idea to me.

That's really some fantastic stuff. I can see why you keep hunting the primrose jasper even if you are only finding a few pieces a year, those orbs look terrific.
