The 1.5 HP motor has been wired and attached to the new, stiffer mount. Definitely much better suited to the heavy grinder than the old one. I set it up to run only the smallest two grooves on the step pulley, which are 2 and 2.5 inch. With the 5 inch driven pulley and 3450 rpm motor, grinder speed works out to 1380 rpm in low, and 1725 rpm in high. Spool up is fairly quick with a little belt slip until the grinder catches up with the motor, and it takes about a minute to spool down post shut down.
