Hey Shane!
Nice video. I liked seeing your supply of rocks at the beginning of the video! Nice setup you have there too!
I also liked your "supervisor"! LOL
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who uses a size 10 leather vise! LOL
I see you roll your own cigs too! LOL

I enjoyed that. Maybe not as much as the cat or the guy at the end but . . .

Hi there,
You guys are too kind! I have not been signed up here for long, but I have learned a ton from reading all these posts. I love the sharing of knowledge on here. I also am starting to share some of the things I do related to rocks on the youtubes.
jasoninsd - I didn't know that my vice was a #10 leather vice. cool. And I live on the west coast of Canada, those aren't cigs lol.
I am working on making a lapidary saw right now. maybe I should post my progress on another thread???
Thank you for watching
Stay tuned for more...
Shane

I was talking about you holding your obsidian with your boots when you were drilling out the center...the kind of thing I do all the time! LOL And yes...I knew they weren't really "cigs". It'd be pretty cool to see the progress updates in another thread. I'm a sucker for seeing what others are able to come up with!

Thanks for sharing the video, Shane, it was f un to see how it all came together. That's a beautiful piece of art and a hell of an ashtray. I like the shape, the angles and convergence of planes, the sheen of the obsidian...I think I could stare at that for quite a while, especially while enjoying a west coast Canadian cigarette after a hard day's work. Well done.

I recognized those spliffs from my "yoot". Fine rolling job... and grinding job. I loved seeing the obsidian in the field, too. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Shane,
I just went to your YouTube channel to check out some of your other videos. I then saw this was your first video you've posted to YouTube.
I know you mentioned you were making a lapidary saw...Do you have plans for doing a video log on that? Do you have plans for other videos?

Cigs lol I was like those are not cigs! not that I would know what they were as I'm pure and clean. Anyway You all can move to NY now as we just legalized it too and we could really use the tax base, as I am getting tired of supporting the rest of the state lol. Very cool video and I loved your old school equipment.
