Not sure if it's Laguna or Mexico Crazy Lace...and I'm not sure I'm going to keep it this way. I'm considering making it a groove wrap instead just because I love the stone and some of the patterns are covered up.
Thanks for looking!

This one is gorgeous, miket! Love the stone. I think it's perfect as it is, but I can understand if you want to groove wrap it.

This is a beautiful piece. First off, that stone is a marvel of the natural world. These things occur without man's 'brilliant' intervention. Who could have believed that? I wonder sometimes if the people that buy these things (or maybe it's gifted) realize just how special these stones are? Or is it just those of us with curious minds and rocks in the head that wonder how in the world this rock looks like this and how did it happen? Anyway, I love this the way it is.
I've read a bunch of posts lately and I am not going back to cross reference, but were you questioning the sharp corners and how to get the wire to fit those angles when groove wrapping? Maybe I'm wrong...

hummingbirdstones - I'll agree with Robin on this one. I think it's absolutely stunning the way it is. However, I can understand why you'd want to groove wrap it Mike. It's a beautiful stone! Garage Rocker - Very well written with regards to the view of the stone! - I believe I was the one who was raising questions about the tight corners in one of Mike's other threads. miket - you nailed those angles on the corners on this one!!! I love it!

I love it! I've read so much lately, I am losing track of what happened when and where. Anyway, if I managed to roll out something like that, I'd post it and dare anyone to tell me to redo it.

This one is gorgeous, miket ! Love the stone. I think it's perfect as it is, but I can understand if you want to groove wrap it. Thank you, ma'am! Perfect...I wish. The reasons I'm considering groove wrapping it is that it's a beautiful stone and it's one of the few nice ones that I have an appropriate girdle.
I really appreciate the compliment, thanks again.

Maybe I'm wrong... Thank you, sir! This stuff is absolutely beautiful, I agree. Until getting into this hobby I didn't appreciate what nature gives us- at least when it comes to stones. To be honest, I had no idea that material like this (and just about everything else I see here on RTH) even existed. Every day I'm on this site I'm amazed at what I see.
And yes, I was questioning how to get the wire to fit the sharp angles.

Looks very elegant. Nice job on the wrap! Thanks! I had more round wire laying around than square right now so I decided to try round. I still think I prefer square when I'm wrapping- but maybe I just need to practice with round more.

I think that it is beautiful just the way it is. If it were me I wouldn't change a thing about it. Really great effort!
