I have a good customer who asked me about a year ago if I had any Badger Pocket sycamore cabs. I didn't have any slabs or cabs. A week ago Roy had one on fullmoon so I bought it. I laid out some cabs on the slab for the customer to look at. I made some revisions and marked the slab.
I thought the line down the middle would fracture so I avoided it. I put in a new blade and my first cut was the line. I took it slow and it fractured.
There was a line going through the 5 cabs on the bottom and it looked solid. 2 of the 5 fractured along the line and the other 3 are solid.
I recut the two fractured pieces as another pair of earrings.
I wanted 6 cabs and 3 pairs of earrings and ended up with 4 and 4.
