Your saw has very good taste! Love the vibrant orange in that one!

Wow I must have been buying my Brazilian agate from the wrong barrel. I can tell you that no matter how you work it you won't be able to get rid of that bright orange color. You are stuck with it. Wow

Finally got around to fixing my slab saw motor. Yeah, I cut some rock too, my saw likes Brazilian agate. Wow indeed. Mind sharing the source? It’s awesome.

I've got to agree with the other approving comments...this piece is stunning!!! I don't think I've ever seen an orange that brilliant in a slab before.

I got another rock in the saw, decided on another Brazilian agate. End cut and both sides of the first slab. Ok so its not the most flashy slab every, but the pattern uniqueness of your cut is DAMN cool. I would polish and display this piece in my main rock shelf immediately LOL.

Thanks stephan, more to come when the sun comes back out. beefjello I like the idea of a Brazilian agate thread, there’s a lot to be learned from a buyers standpoint. It’s the world largest producer, but it seems there are very few varieties. Funny thing... a lot of German agate carvings are actually Brazilian agate. Idar-Oberstein has been mined out since the 18th Century

Lttle voice in the back of my head sounds like a Brazilian soccer announcer . . . SCORE ! ! !
I love the aggies where you can see the bands twisting away into the deep.

OMG these are gorgeous! I saw these on my phone awhile ago. I was paging down and thought it was a massive rock with a fortification spot in it...then I realized it was just the slab on another rock! LOL Is that background rock a massive piece of Stone Canyon?!?

Holy crap! I have never seen Brazilians that look that like before. Neither have I until I got ahold of these. I’ll be taking a closer look at Brazilian rough from now on. Could you post some pictures of some of them before you slab them? I'd like to see if the rind looks different from the few we have.

I can't think of another word to describe these other than "Showstoppers"!!!
That first set of slabs is unreal...then I get to that second set. The first two slabs pictured out of the second rock are off the charts. I keep scrolling back up the page as I'm typing this just to try and get some other words...
Of course, I can see some astounding cabs coming out of some of those slabs. Okay, every one of those slabs! LOL

Deciding what to cab or keep as specimen will be easier than deciding how to orient the saw cuts, but deciding how to use each slab will be the hardest part for me. That's one of the hardest part for me! I sat at the table sweating over what cabs to create from one slab of Laguna Lace for over an hour total one time. I got so frustrated with my indecisions, I had to take a break and come back to it! LOL

Some of those look more like abstract art than rocks! The colors and patterns are incredible!
