Here are two beautiful slabs of Kokoweef Cave, CA stalactite. I will be framing these. Seller said both were from the same stalactite. She acquired them in the 1990’s from someone who collected some stalactites many years prior. First is about 4" long. Second about 4" wide.

That top one would make a great cab or two.

That top one would make a great cab or two. I know. Just want to preserve this specimen as the stalactites from this location have been protected for many years.

Those are incredible! The patterns and colors of the first one remind me of turkey in all of its fine plumage. The second is just wild looking.

These are fascinatingly beautiful!
Looking at the different growth rings, not unlike that of a tree is astounding!
I wouldn't even dream of cabbing these. They are specimens for sure!

The stalactites brought back some fond childhood memories. When I was very young, we took a family trip to Crystal Cave, near Spring Valley, WI. www.acoolcave.org/index.htmlThe tour guide showed us a stalactite that had been cut in half. I was amazed at the growth rings and said they looked just like a tree.

We've got a couple caves in the area which have been turned into tourist attractions. Rushmore Cave is one of the nicer ones.

The picture frame idea is a great one for these. They truly look like works of art.

That is so cool. The first one reminds me of a swirling whirlpool
