Roy sent 4 small Sleeping Beauty nodules with the badger pocket. I thought the largest one would make a pair of earrings. I hand split the piece. I rough marked it and since it was very irregular, my aim wasn't good. I was sure the next largest piece was too small but flattened the largest face with my flat lap. I was able to use my standard earring shape from the template 23x18. I ground the shape on the bottom and surprisingly there was room for a girdle, so I will end up with a pair of earrings after some grinding.

Took them both down and tomorrow I'll match them. I thought turquoise was soft. The surface is blocky and harder than Morgan Hill.

Color not a great match, otherwise I'm happy with the effort.
