I've circled back to look at this several times and I can't add much that hasn't been said. Just, color me impressed. I guess you're off to join the legion of wire wizards here. Go ahead and work your beautiful magic, we'll be watching.

I was reading your post before looking at the pictures and then scrolled down and was like "woah! That's his first one??". Good work! Thank you very much! I love doing that...scrolling slowly so I can read what's written in the post before scrolling further to see the pics. I like the "suspense" it builds! I've circled back to look at this several times and I can't add much that hasn't been said. Just, color me impressed. I guess you're off to join the legion of wire wizards here. Go ahead and work your beautiful magic, we'll be watching. Thanks for the kind word! I don't know how many times I've run across a certain slab, cab, or wire wrap on here that catches my attention to the point of revisiting the thread numerous times. Funny you said "wizard" as I was looking for a tutorial for my next wrap and ran across a way to do a Dragon's Eye. I don't have the type of wire it takes, but it looked pretty cool.

WOW, WOW, WOW!! That is gorgeous!! I want to learn how to do that. Which tutorials did you find the most helpful? Thanks you very much! Honestly, I poured over videos on YouTube just looking for a wrap I thought I could do...and had the wire to do it. There's been several wraps that I wanted to attempt, only to learn I didn't have the right gauge wire. I just searched "wire wrapping cabochon" on YouTube. There's SO many to choose from...and I think most of them are pretty decent with their explanations and directions. I was looking for free PDFs online, but didn't find any. I think there's some on Etsy that a person can buy, but I haven't looked into that just yet.

Wow... It never ceases to amaze me the talent of the folks on this forum. "First Wrap" I am am floored and a bit intimidated. I only hope when I get to this point int the hobby I am half as good as your first wrap. That is a true masterpiece.

Thanks for posting that link! I should have remembered that one too! LOL Wow... It never ceases to amaze me the talent of the folks on this forum. "First Wrap" I am am floored and a bit intimidated. I only hope when I get to this point int the hobby I am half as good as your first wrap. That is a true masterpiece. Thank you! Don't be intimidated at all. I'd like to take credit for the design, but like I said, I just copied the tutorial I watched. I wish I had the creative talents some of the members on here have. I'm just pretty good at "emulating" what I see. High five man! I love your activness in your passions and this board. It makes me want to share more. Thanks man! My wife liked your piece. Enough said haha! Johnny Thanks Johnny! (And please thank your wife for me. That was nice of her to say something too. ) I love it when people share what they're doing....or share their thoughts about something someone else has done. I love seeing pics of finished batches, progress pics, pics of rough (e.g. your geode you posted)...or whatever they're working on. Heck, I still want to see pics of that Orbicular Agate you talked about awhile back!

Very well done Jason! It's been fun watching you fall down this rabbit hole ☺️ Thanks Nate! Fall down the hole? It sometimes feels like I jumped in with a jet-pack set to "go-go-gadget-rockets" attached!

Dang jasoninsd That's impressive! I don't wire wrap but I 100% guarantee that if I did one, my first one wouldn't look half that nice! Great job!

I've seen what you can do...and there's no doubt in my mind your wraps would be just amazing as the other things I see you post on here.

Fantastic job, Jason! Wow, I am really impressed by your work here. It shows a great deal of thought, planning, and effort put in to the design. I think that you must have had a good teacher.
I've taken a couple of wrapping classes early on with large groups of people. I can tell you that only about 1/2 the class actually ends up with wire going around the rock at all; giving up. And only 10% create something not resembling a twisted bunch of knots surrounding the rock.
If you really want to know, I think it is practically unbelievable really.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks Bill! I really do appreciate the compliments. My "teacher" was watching a few YouTube videos and reading a couple tutorials on here. I just got lucky!
