I have a few buddies that knap and its certainly a skill.... I have tried a few times, but gave up...Hahaha Thanks for sharing the videos.... As I said before, Glass Buttes is my favorite place in Oregon to hound Obsidian..

Glad you liked the videos. I had to put Craig Ratzat on as he's a hoot. I've met him several times at The Cartersville Ga Primitive Art Festival held in April of each year. He's never at a loss for words and I have bought quite a bit of obsidian and Keokuk chert from him. Last time I saw him he also had a 50 gallon drum of Mookaite jasper and a 50 gallon drum of Brazilian agate nodules.

Awesome videos Rick! I could sit and listen to Craig talk and knap for hours on end. I had completely missed this post until I saw jamesp promoting it in the Shoutbox
