Well I have the trim saw and cabber on order. Now need to find some practice material. No real rock shops close to me (Destin FL) and couldn't find any upcoming shows that had not been covid cancelled. That seems to point to online purchase. I am not looking for high quality cabbing material as yet just practice pieces. Looking for a Flat Rate Box (med or large) of slabs. I found several offering slabs per piece but too pricey for practice. I am good with broken stuff if I can get a cab preform out of it.
Does anyone know and online shop that sells such?
Thanks, Steven

PM me. I can probably put something together for you.
Most online places do, indeed, sell by the slab

I have a different philosophy about practice cabs. Unless the material you have is limited or expensive, I believe that any cab a person makes could be sold. I did this for 20 years before even trying to sell a cab. One reason is that it is rare to have a slab that is completely covered with good patterns. I choose a lesser pattern to make a practice/test cab to see how the material works. Different material works differently and each type requires some experience. Work on a piece of material using the trim saw and cabbing machine and work at a pace where a person feels in control. The more confidence a person has the faster they can work.
