It finally warmed up enough to get in some garage time. Oh, and even though these are now freeforms they didn't start out that way. I purchased some templates, drew out some nice cabs and then quickly discovered that the stones don't always do what I want them to. I guess discovered isn't the right word- pretty sure I knew that before...  They all have a long ways to go but just wanted to put them up anyway. Thanks for looking.
A piece of pet wood, Indonesian Palm Root, and an I can't remember.

Very cool growth rings on the pet wood! I’ll be looking forward to seeing how that one turns out.

That palm root is going to look pretty sharp when it's done. I think so, too. That's the first cab I've shaped, I got a slab bigger than my hand so I'll probably be posting more in the future... |
