JC, I did not use pellets in 60/90, I started using pellets in 120/220, then progressively more in each following stage. I only use pellets in coarse (60/90) for things that seem especially chippy. A fair bit of the rough OJ was rather druzy and brittle (and full of vugs), but I dealt with this by throwing out most of this material, leaving the tumbling to the better quality pieces.
