Here is some of the opal pet wood polished along with some laguna and botswana agates and some misc jaspers and agates. They were in 60/90 for 12 days, recharged every 4 days, 1 week in 120/220, 5 days in 600, 1 week in 1000, and 2 days-yes 2 days in tin oxide. I missed a couple of rocks when I started the polish cycle so I opened the barrel after 2 days to put them in and I wound up looking at how things were progressing and this is what I found. I will probably put them back in-with the ones I missed-and let them go for another 3-4 days. I was pretty amazed at the shine they got after 2 days, but like Mark says on the main website, "open it up, if you like what you see, close it up and let it roll for a few more days." Here goes Arkies opal wood laguna botswana this one has these really cool pins inside That's it for now Ed

Wow, if you are getting that kind of shine after just two days, make sure you warn me before you take them out of the final polish, so I can put on some arc-welding glasses before looking at the pics. ;D
I especially like the main stone in the final pic....looks like a fireworks display captured in stone.

I am amazed that's just after two days, they will be spectacular when done. I've got some that have been rolling for 12 days now, maybe I'll take a peek at them today.

You know I don't know what I like better- the shine or the shape- completely impressive! Oh the shooting star rock (the clear with the streaks of red) is that fossil agate?

Thanks all. The one with the "pins" shooting thru it is a piece of the botswana agate. Bearcreek threw those in the box when I bought the laguna agates from him. Trish, that pet wood is really beautiful stuff, glad I got some of that from you, thanks. When I take them out of polish in a couple of days, I'll post them again for a comparision.
