These wraps were done by my daughter. I do the cabbing and she does the wraps. She seems to have a much better eye for the artistic element than I do. My wraps tend to look ordinary while hers (at least in my opinion - I may be biased though) have a nicer flow. I keep telling my daughter she is ready for the real silver and gold wire but she thinks not. She is afraid to use the "REAL" wire. What do you think - should she start on the real wire? Amathyst, sodalite and florite Quartz, I don't know???, and labradorite I bought a slab of this at the Bancroft rock show and forget the name. Anyone know what it is?

Your daughter's wraps are beautiful, she is definitely (in my opinion) ready to go for the real thing. She certainly has a talent for the wrapping, great designs!!

It is what they call craft wire. Costs about $4.00 for 40 yards. Can get it at beading stores. I use 22 guage.

Those are in the rock. If you tip the rock the lines change from a coppery colour to another set of lines which are silvery. It is definitely a result of refraction within the rock.

I'd say you're both ready to graduate! Both the cabs and the wraps look great. I think she will find it is even easier to do with the real wire. Trish

Man oh man, I'm really starting to look forward to the BillE family wraps updates. Those are great and I think you're raising the perfect little family business there! It's so cool to see your creations. Joe
