Hi all,
Just an introduction to me. Geomorphology and tectonic freak since minoring in college. Many years of looking at big things with awe and wonder. Avid camper, fisherman, hiker, etc but never realized how much I like what is small, detailed and even under the surface. What a great hobby to combine with other passions whether rockhounding or staring at specimens (maybe that is a stretch with my collection so far). Regardless, I think rocks might be a narcotic and this sight has taught me so much so fast. Had to finally just join up.

Hummingbird stones. Good rockhounding around you I hope? My plan is to retire near Page, Az in about 5 1/2 years. Familiar with the area. This lapidary hobby is already out of control so I can’t imagine how things will look once I have all of that around me and time on my hands!
