this is some of the nice adventurine i got from Walrusleather: the photo doesn't show the real beauty of these stones. the larger on is 25 x 18 mm and the smaller one is 14 x 10 mm, cut from the same slab. Christmas is coming and this is for a friend and her daughter. thanks for looking, KD

i really have to find a better way to photograph these stones....it was SO dark and dreary today and most of the illumination i have at hand taints the photo with light dots. i tried to get some natural light on those and didn't realize i was getting my own shadow in that photo...oops!
OK, you two (hermy and Kim) you got me singing rock songs in my head...thanks, thanks a LOT!

KD - for Aventurine that is a seriously nice polish. Perfect. Ive got some Blue and some Green but it always comes out a bit pitted - say 50 pits per square cm. This tends to dull its shine - but thats superb.
Ive got a chunk about 3 inches by 1 inch which needs to go into 220 - it was a gift from my mum when she got back from a holiday in Greece - I think this one may be dense enough to achieve that shine - fingers crossed.
Nice work.

Mark, i'd given up on adventurine for tumbling as it fractured and pitted so terribly, this stuff that Walrus slabbed was of much higher quality, so perhaps your Greecian material is also good....i'll keep fingers crossed for you!

ok guys the laughing as good as it is hurts so much, krazy,, Wow now i really want to get back into the darker stuff,, just cant get neck wet still,, mabye a lobster bib,,, (pouts) ill be good its only another 3 or 4 days
I knew this batch would turn out well when i freeformed that first little chip and it looked like frosted sparkly glass with an almost instant shine. spent 2 hours w doc today and then while out running around tilll almost 10, we never did get the rock busted up for e-bay. anyhow,,
Great job, those should be very appriciated by recipients.

Very nice KD, but hey, I wouldn't expect less from you. I take it you're dopping all your stones now? It seems you've got more control over the stone and are able to turn out a finer cab.
