Definitely your most advanced wire wrap to date. The sides have a very uniform look to them, which makes me believe that you might have tried some needlepoint at one time or another. This is not easy to achieve for me. I think that the best wire wrappers have an extensive background with weaving yarn earlier in their lives, and it shows in their work. They think of the wire craft almost as if they were working with yarn. And I think you have some of the same elements. My work has none of that, as I never got caught up in the fru-fru arts as a young one. I did date several fru-fru yarn weaving chicks though! I wish I had picked up the needle and tried too.

Thanks Bill!  This one was definitely the most difficult one for me to do so far...but I think the stone deserved this type of wrap. I may or may not have done some needlepoint in a previous life...but nothing in this one!  |

Great job on the weave and the wrap. I'd say you did a wonderful job making it all even and tight. Weaving is not easy but you made it look easy. Good for you. Thank you so much! I'll give it another try one of these days. I would hope so. |

For me, I really have to concentrate pretty hard on these right now...I suppose after a while, it would become second nature. I was so nervous through the whole thing that I was going to make a wrong move and waste all the wire - and time! |

For me, I really have to concentrate pretty hard on these right now...I suppose after a while, it would become second nature. I was so nervous through the whole thing that I was going to make a wrong move and waste all the wire - and time! I totally understand. I have to concentrate to do weaves too. I hate wasting wire and time too but unfortunately sometimes it's just what happens. |
