So this is my sixth wrap...and it was definitely the most complicated one so far. The bottom edge of the cab had some chipping that I didn't want to grind down as I didn't want to risk fracturing any part of the edge...so I decided a bezel type wrap would "hide" those flaws. When I started, I got about two inches of the weave done and realized I had wound the wire wrong in one spot about halfway through what I had already weaved. So, I unwound to the error and had to continue from there. Basically a ton of time wasted, but I wanted the weave perfectly symmetrical all the way around...which was a pain, but I did get it. I didn't like how the tutorial I saw on YouTube showed to bind the weave at the top, so I had to come up with my own solution on that. I used most of Tela's tutorial for the weaved bail, but I had to come up with a different way to secure it versus the way she showed in the tutorial...again, I was winging something. Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out...and as always thanks for taking a gander and critiques and comments are always welcomed. (I need some ibuprofen after this one! LOL)

Jason, I like how when you decide to try something, you just go all in on it. No half-hearted attempts. No starting simple. Just diving right into the deep end. And you not only find out you can swim, but swim like a fish.
Truly a great job on that one! Very tight and clean looking and a perfect way to frame that beautiful cab without distracting from the pattern.

Killer job! Your weaving looks really good. Nice way to complement the stone.

Awesome job on your first weave! They are not easy and you nailed it. Way to go, sir!

LOL I like to push myself to see what parameters I'm supposedly bound to...then try to step outside those parameters just a little...at first! Thanks Ali! I'm glad you made it back safe from the trip to Vegas! Killer job! Your weaving looks really good. Nice way to complement the stone.
Thanks Tela! And thank you for posting that tutorial (way back when!)...I wouldn't have figured out how to do that bail without it. Awesome job on your first weave! They are not easy and you nailed it. Way to go, sir! Thanks Robin! Talk about time consuming! LOL - It's not a type of wrap I'd like to do as the "standard"! Wow I have never tried a weave and you do one just based on youtube? Brave man. Thanks Norm! Yep. One YouTube video and Tela's tutorial on the bail. Not so brave really. I had to start it over three times until I could figure out how to bend that 28 gauge weaving wire so it would weave correctly. So, just a little wasted wire trying to learn, but I think it was worth it.

Your 6th? Looks like you came up to speed really fast! I don't have the guts to try one of those yet. Good work!

Oh my! That is so nice. I really like how classy the back is, too. Thank you so much! It's been awhile since someone complimented my backside! All I have to say is better you than me, that’s damn awesome. I will just stick to a hammer and a torch. Lordy be if you decide to start watching YouTube vid on silversmithing. Great job Jason. Thank you very much! I did get to use the torch on this one! (Just to get it off the dop though! LOL) Silversmithing has been brought up several times to me...and I have no desire yet to put something that large on my plate. (Caveat being "yet" in that sentence...and I suppose there's always room if one just gets another plate! LOL ) Nailed it. Fantastic work, Jason!
Thanks Mike! The next time my wife decides she needs to do another 90 Day Fiancé marathon, I'll be doing another one of these...it will help me turn my focus elsewhere! LOL

Damn dude you're an animal! My hands hurt just looking at that style Thanks Nate! My hands were fine while doing it...but it was my head that started hurting about midway through! LOL - Must have been from the squinting just to see that dang 28 gauge wire! LOL

Very nice wrap, you have the touch with wire. Thank you so very much! My wife says I'm "touched"...but I think she means something entirely different than where you were going with it!

Great job on the weave and the wrap. I'd say you did a wonderful job making it all even and tight. Weaving is not easy but you made it look easy. Good for you.
