Hi and thanks for adding me. I am new to the group and tumbling. What 10 year old really wanted a tumbler so we got him one for Christmas. That tumbler he lead to one that does 30lbs at a time. After that one arrived and I saw it I really wish we would have saved the 380.00 and built one. But long story short both Of my boys are into it now. I am trying to learn as much about it as I can so I can help them along. They have recently been approached by my boss to polish rocks for our shop. We use them in coffee tables. They require a wet look when completed. There figuring out how to make money doing something fun.

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
Sounds like you and your boys have jumped down the tumbling hole with all feet first!
Post a new thread on the tumbling board with your questions on tumbling. There are expert tumblers here (of which I'm not one), but they will be more than happy to answer your questions and help you and your boys along.

Welcome! I'm guessing you are going to pour epoxy over the rocks for the tables? If so you may be able to get that wet look without having to actually run all the way to polish. I would try a few at various stages to see how far you would need to take them.

Welcome from the Desert Southwest! That's a pretty cool story about how the boys are also in to tumbling too. It's a family thing.
I wonder about the "coffee tables" application for the tumbled stones though. so maybe the coffee tables have glass tops, and a region underneith which could be filled with polished stones? If so, then that seems like a really cool idea!
