Stephan, are you referencing the Verde Antique marble found near Stoddard Mountain in San Bernardino county? It is located northeast of Victorville.

I don't think so. It was definitely a serpentine, and it was close to Sacramento.

Mariposa is as far north as SF, but further to the east.

Nope. I have some of that. It’s more marbled green and white. This would’ve been east of us somewhere off either 50 or 80, possibly even into NV a bit. Mariposa Co is SE of here.

I like the bail accents the best here. The stone is cool too though, but I like the wrap. The pretty "bow-like" accents are the top are a perfect balance for the shape and the size of the stone. I think it has a lot of flair. More than could be achieved (in my opinion) by a simple groove wrap utilizing less wire.

Still plenty of room for improvement. The last two I tried to do with different cabs ended up getting ripped apart.
