Nothing too intricate as another weave wrap just yet...I still need the headache to go away from that one! LOL 1. Thunderegg - It's right at 2" tall and the biggest can I've done. I like the polish on this one. You can see the copper wire reflected in the surface. I didn't want too much wire on this one to keep the weight down due to the size of the cab. I also did the weaved bail to help distribute the weight on a chain. 2. Thunderegg - Another large cab, but not quite 2". Again, I wanted to keep the weight down, so I went minimal on the wire. Again, going with the weaved bail. 3. Coprolite - I posted another pic of this one in the poo thread. I aimed the "twirls" for the area on the surface without any pattern. I know a lot of people wouldn't had anything on the front, but it looked right to me...so I went for it. 4. Silver Lace Onyx - An older cab I did. Not the best polish. I know swirls on the front aren't for everyone, but I liked it...because it covered a flaw on the surface! LOL 5. Silver Lace Onyx - Another older cab, but this one I did open up the front of the cab. I need some more ideas for things to do at the bail when I don't do tons of twists... 6. Petrified Wood George West, Texas - This is actually Palm Root and the "orbs" are vascular structures (thanks Sabre52). I definitely wanted the three swirls on each side to "mimic" the orbs in the stone in order to tie the wrap and stone together... figuratively as well as literally. 7. Flor de Durazno (Flower of Peach) Lace Agate - I went pretty minimal on this one as I didn't want to have the wrap competing with the fortifications on this one. As always, thanks for taking a gander and critiques and comments are always welcomed. Number 1 Number 2 Number 3 Number 4 Number 5 Number 6 Number 7

Okay. I’m in a time warp, I think. You’ve been wrapping for a week or two? “Good work,” doesn’t even begin to describe it. With #3 and #4, I think you have figured out the purpose behind swirls. The George West and crazy lace are outstanding.

I probably should have had a few more done by now. I was hoping for a little more vibrant colors to come out on that George West, but I'll settle for those vascular structures!

Verrry nice! Could you show the backs sometimes?
Could you put a number on each cab, so I’d have a chance to be able to comment on individual pieces? Difficult on a cell phone.
Lots of styles. You make it look easy, but I know it isn’t. Thanks

You may have to settle for the alien dog leaning his elbows casually on the counter in the bottom 3rd of that George West. But seriously, those are very good.

These are more than my early morning brain can handle. 6 is my fav. I like that the middle wire is twisted. Yes, the swirls mimic the orbs. Well done.

Great job, Jason! Who knew those 90 Day Fiancée marathons could be so inspiring!
Seriously though, that is an insane amount of progress in two weeks. Bravo!

What is the 4th one from the bottom. Walt sent me a slab that looks like that. Softer than jasper and has dendrites.

They were almost too much for my late night brain to handle! LOL (I really like the looks of the twisted wire as well. ) Great job, Jason! Imagine what I could do if she starts watching Long Island Medium again!!! What is the 4th one from the bottom. Walt sent me a slab that looks like that. Softer than jasper and has dendrites. The third and fourth one from the bottom is Silver Lace Onyx. I love the "scenic" pictures that can be found in some of this material! Look at you go! Holy Schmoley!
Very nice job on those, Jason!
Thanks Robin! I prefer wrapping oval and teardrop shapes more than others...and I've come to realize when I started making cabs, I preferred to cab shapes other than those. So, now I'm stuck with either making a bunch of new cabs in the shapes I prefer...or wrapping some shapes I don't! LOL

No one would ever guess that you just started doing this. Clearly, you are a natural. I'm loving it!

Seriously, you're a wrapping machine now! Great work, sir! Thank you my friend! To be honest, I think the last several wraps you've done truly fit into the "elegant" category! Yours are really looking sharp!

Pretty sick looking group, my friend! 1- I like the bail. It is pretty elegant 2- Looks like another attempt at the bail, and I think it is even better 3- I like this one best so far! The accent wires show great imagination, and are executed without mars or flaws (kinks) too. 4- Bold. You are starting to get really experimental with your bendy wires. I wish I could do stuff like this! 5- I like the frame wires and how they accent the nature of the stone (if that makes any sense). 6- Nearly symmetrical top! Anyone that doesn't wrap stone, has no idea how hard it is to create symmetry with opposing accent bends. 7- What a great way to wrap the stone and accent its best features (all that banding)! It does not detract at all.
As usual, I think that the backs look just as finished as the fronts! Keep up the good work maestro!

I really appreciate the feedback! Still some things to work on for sure, but I'm getting a little more comfortable with each one done.
