I am looking for a source to purchase great Crazy Lace Agates for tumbling 1.5”-2.5” in size for 3# barrels.

I've bought Laguna Lace rough and other stuff from these guys before. I know you can give him a call to see if he has any the size you're looking for...I've called him before. Nice guy: www.jhkalmore.com/mexican-crazy-lace-agate-cutting-roughI can also recommend The Rock Shed. I've bought Crazy Lace from them before and liked their selection. They have it listed as Mexican Lace Agate...but I asked them about this and they said it's the same thing...just a different "trade name". www.therockshed.com/crushedrock1.html

I can second rock shed lace. Wonderful solid colorful stuff. If you call and tell them what your looking for they will do their best to make it happen.

I like the crazy lace I bought from Kingsley North. They were nice solid chunks that work well in our 3 pound barrels. We have some tumbling now.

My first order with JH Kalmore was a hit...but the two subsequent orders were both misses due to major and minor fractures throughout the entire pieces.

I will now concur with your assessment. My first order with JH Kalmore was a hit...but the two subsequent orders were both misses due to major and minor fractures throughout the entire pieces. Random pull Not so random I am 0 for 1, not in a hurry to try again. Bought 75 pounds (25 each of 3 different materials) and am shocked at how little is usable. Kind of figured being a first time customer with a sizable order I would get some real nice stuff to get me hooked and ensure future orders. Not so much.
